Cannon Crew
It is no secret that Mizzou football had a historic season this past fall, but a Mizzou home game wouldn't feel complete without our 75mm howitzer firing off after every Tiger Touchdown. "Being the OIC of the Mizzou Army ROTC's Cannon Crew is a uniquely challenging and rewarding experience. It entails overseeing a dedicated team responsible for the ceremonial firing of the cannon at university football games and events, a tradition that energizes and instills pride among spectators. The role demands meticulous attention to safety protocols and the ability to lead and inspire a team under high-pressure situations. Beyond the operational aspects, the position offers the invaluable opportunity to embody and promote the values of discipline, teamwork, and leadership inherent to military service. Being given the opportunity to lead a crew as remarkable as Cannon Crew magnified just how special ti is to be a Missouri Tiger." -CDT Charles Davidson

Ranger Challenge
Ranger Challenge is the epitome of team-based challenges on the ROTC stage. Each university will train a Ranger Challenge team to compete amongst the task force and brigade. Cadets that compete in Ranger Challenge must be at the top of their game mentally and physically. Their training routine involves additional morning physical training sessions and evening classes. "Being Ranger OIC helped me understand how important it is to know your team and where certain people excel. We split the training into knowledge based and physical training. This allowed us to teach a new skill earlier in the week and then put it to the test in the middle of a workout. During this time, Icould identify people that did well in certain areas and have them assist in training the others. Icould also see where we lacked as a team and adjusted our training to fix it. Going forward, Iwill use what l've learned to address the good and bad within my program, unit, and myself." -CDT Grace Krigbaum
