National Guard/Army Reserves

Members of the National Guard or the Army Reserves have extra options with regards to the ROTC program and scholarships.

Guaranteed Reserve Forces Duty (GRFD) Scholarship (2-Year)

  • The GRFD and Dedicated ARNG Scholarships are 2-year scholarships available for anyone who desires to become an officer in the Army Reserve (AR) and Army National Guard (ARNG). Applicants must be members of the AR or ARNG and participate in the Simultaneous Membership Program (SMP) as a cadet. Both scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis. Students apply for this scholarship during the spring semester of their sophomore year. To be eligible for this scholarship, you must be a junior with 4 to 5 semesters remaining until graduation. Contact the Recruiting Operations Officer at 573-931-3599 for more information.

Minuteman Scholarship (4-Year)

  • If you are interested in receiving a scholarship and commissioning into the Army National Guard or Army Reserve, the Minuteman Scholarship provides you an excellent opportunity. Minuteman Scholarship recipients participate in the Simultaneous Membership Program, which gives them experience with either an Army National Guard or Army Reserve unit while earning additional money for their service. The Army National Guard allows you to receive both state and federal benefits with the Minuteman Scholarship. Contact the Recruiting Operations Officer at 573-931-3599 for more information.
